This seafood platter is nothing short of spectacular. From the moment it arrives at the table, the aroma and presentation set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Every element on the plate is prepared with care and perfectly balanced flavors. The loup de mer is tender and delicately seasoned, showcasing its naturally clean, buttery profile. The chipura adds a richer, slightly firmer contrast, cooked to perfection with a beautifully crisp exterior. The salmon melts in the mouth, infused with herbs and just the right amount of sear to lock in its juiciness. The jumbo shrimp are a standout—plump, smoky, and full of robust flavor, while the calamari tempura brings a light, crunchy texture that balances the dish without feeling heavy. The vongole and mussels add a comforting, ocean-fresh brininess, soaking up the seasoning and juices in the pan, creating layers of flavor that tie everything together. Topped with fresh herbs and brightened with lemon, the entire platter feels thoughtfully curated and expertly executed. It’s generous, vibrant, and absolutely delicious—a true feast for seafood lovers. I discovered this restaurant completely by chance, and it turned out to be the best surprise of my time in Istanbul. Chef Carlos serves extremely high-quality food — rich in flavor, comforting, and truly homemade, the kind of food that makes you feel instantly at ease. The service was excellent, attentive, and warm, and the people there are genuinely kind and welcoming. Everything felt made with care, from the dishes to the atmosphere. I would definitely go back without hesitation and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for real taste, quality, and heart.

Before traveling to Istanbul, I watched Chef Carlos on Turkish television several times. I made a point of listing his restaurant as one of the excellent gastronomical experiences to try. I was walking around Pera and surprisingly found his restaurant. Unfortunately I had just eaten elsewhere and my trip to Istanbul was coming to an end. I was overjoyed to see him seated on the terrace. His staff were simply lovely and they called him over. I told him I was a Turkish foodie from NYC on a gastronomical adventure. He seemed like an absolutely lovely person. His steak au poivre and escargot is the talk and rave of the town. It’s really sad and disheartening to read rude and negative comments without giving constructive feedback. I usually tell restaurants in a polite manner what I think about the food and it’s received rather well. Carlos Bey keep your chin up and my regrets about not eating at your delightful restaurant. Inshallah when I return soon I look forward to savoring the baked camembert, onion soup, steak au poivre and escargots. To all those leaving negative reviews, our eiders teach us that if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything. Giving reviews about food are very tricky. Everyone’s palate and knowledge about cuisine is very variable. Be courteous and treat others the way you would want them to treat you. Just because you paid to dine at the man’s restaurant doesn’t give you a right to insult him or his establishment. You chose to eat here at the end of the day. It’s so much easier and cowardly to insult people on a keyboard than be truthful in person.

I craved escargot on my trip to Istanbul and Chef Carlos’ restaurant delivered! The escargots were delivious, the staff was nice and friendly. I also enjoyed the ambience and music at the place. Chef Carlos came to my table to say hi and I appreciated that. Will for sure come again

We had such a lovely evening here. Chef Carlos greeted us at the door and straight away made us feel welcome – he’s got a brilliant sense of humour and really set the tone. The menu looked so good we couldn’t decide between two options, so we asked if we could mix and match a bit, and he just said “no problem”. He also recommended two fantastic wines which went perfectly with the food. The service was spot on – really attentive but never pushy – and the food itself was plentiful and absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a nice, relaxed feel to it, inviting without being stuffy, and we felt comfortable straight away. All in all, we left full, happy and already talking about when we might come back. Would definitely recommend!

I visited this restaurant for the very first time and I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I arrived. I received a very warm welcome, along with detailed explanations about the menu and how the dishes are prepared. I chose the beef bourguignon, and I absolutely loved it! As a French person, it truly reminded me of the traditional homemade bourguignon, rich in flavor, tender, and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, I ordered the Belgian chocolate mousse, which was simply delightful and wonderfully indulgent. I felt very comfortable in this restaurant, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is caring and attentive. I would gladly come back to try more dishes from the menu!

We went here for my daughter’s birthday, and it was magnificent. Having lived in Belgium as a child, it brought me back to those flavors and hospitality. We ordered the seafood platter - unbelievable. Especially the white fish. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also ordered the schnitzel which was better than most I have had in Germany and extremely flavorful. We also had the steak, which my sons enjoyed to include dipping their fries in the white sauce. If you’re looking for a beautiful family meal, something special, a break from Turkish food, a celebratory experience, don’t miss this one. We loved it!
